Desert Wildflowers!

Happy Easter, friends!! Wishes to you all for a healthy, happy, and blessed holiday.

As many of you may have heard by now, our previously drought-stricken state received an abundance of rainfall this winter, and we are now experiencing wonderful blooms of wildflowers all over the state. We even had blooms out here in the desert!

While some areas had fields and fields just covered in them, ours were a little more sparsely placed by Mother Nature. There were a few along the sides of the road, but to get views of the best blooms, we had to go out a little further. Fortunately, my three guys were up to the search for flowers and spent a Sunday afternoon in the car with mom hopping in and out for photos.

I wanted to share some of my very amateur pictures with all of you, especially those of you from the wonderful damper areas that have beautiful plants and flowers on a regular basis. Our wildflowers definitely look a little different than daisies, blue bonnets, and even our California poppies, but it is definitely a miraculous sight to see these flowers peek up out of the dry, seemingly lifeless desert.

I love when we come across unique road signs! And, yes, I do slow down for for lizards. πŸ™‚
