Hi there friends!
Since it is summertime, I have huge dreams of taking a family vacation. Although this dream most likely won’t become reality for our family for a few years, we do try to take day trips whenever schedules and finances allow.
A couple of weeks ago, Hubby had to be in San Diego for a work-related luncheon (he was voted employee of the year for his office) and I was able to attend with him. The luncheon was over by 1:45 and since San Diego is a 4 hour trip for us, we weren’t about to just turn around and come home right away. Especially since the high temperature was 73 degrees in San Diego and ours at home was 112. We definitely wanted to take advantage of the “cool off”! 🙂
But what to do for just a couple hours in San Diego? Well…there are MANY things!! I lived in the area for 13 years, so it could take me quite some time to list all the awesome things to see and do…
We decided on Cabrillo National Monument in Point Loma since Hubby had never been there and I love visiting national and state parks. We had a great time, got our National Parks Passport stamped and took lots of pictures. I hope you enjoy the following pictures and in case you would like more information about Cabrillo National Park, here’s the link- www.nps.gov/cabr/index.htm.
